Project; 

To supply power and lighting distribution solutions to Northern Gateway Alliance for building the Johnstone's Hill Tunnels at Puhoi, north of Auckland.

Specifications;

• Power distribution solutions including switchboard and cabling, temporary lighting, as well as power supplied to the header and its associated workings.
• Power to all support services, following the tunnel machinery and electrical services to other tunnel building processes.
• Must be suitable a potentially very wet and muddy site.
• Must be of high safety level.
• Must be easily relocated as work progresses.

Terminal chambers for heavy feeder cables

Large distribution boards fitted with steel protection frames and pneumatic wheels

--> Easy movement as tunnel was exavated

--> Simplified and reduced reconnection by site electrican as changes were undertaken

--> Prevented accidental damage, ease of relocation
