Jackson Electrical Industries is a leading New Zealand manufacturer and supplier of RCD - protected power distribution equipment, programmable logic controllers and industrial plugs and sockets.

The company designs, manufactures and markets its own Lifeguard brand of distribution equipment protected by residual current devices (RCDs). The equipment is widely used in the construction and pulp and paper industries, in hospitals and by commercial organisations throughout New Zealand and in Australia.  Jackson has, since 1977, been the New Zealand distributor of Fuji Electric residual current devices, programmable logic controllers and other products. The company's range of products has grown further with the merger of Fuji Electric and General Electric. Jackson also distributes a comprehensive selection of heavy duty industrial plug and socket systems, circuit breakers and cables from European and other countries. Jackson is the largest supplier of CEE17 / IEC309 plugs, sockets, interconnecting cables and power distribution units in New Zealand. The company is further represented throughout New Zealand by leading electrical wholesalers.
 

The company hires Lifeguard power distribution systems, an increasingly popular option for temporary displays and exhibitions, outdoor functions, construction sites, defence force exercises and many other situations where temporary power supply is required.

Jackson supplies Lifeguard equipment with RCD-protected plugs and sockets to a weather-proof design for use in marinas, camping grounds and similar outdoor situations. All enclosures are manufactured by the company from highly resilient polyethylene, glass-reinforced plastic or stainless steel.

The company operates from 4000 square metre premises in Onehunga, Auckland. The site includes Jackson's modern showroom as well as the company's factory, warehouse and national distribution centre.
