Northern Gateway Toll Road
For the Northern Gateway Toll Road Project the Jackson team
worked closely with Howard Stevenson, the Tunnel's Electrical
Superintendent. The Northern Gateway Toll Road required power
distribution solutions including switchboards and cabling, temporary
lighting, as well as power supplies to the header and all its associated
workings. In addition to this, the site required power to all support services
following the tunneling machinery and electrical services to other tunnel
building processes. The site was potentially very wet and muddy and the
IP rating of 56 meant all equipment used required very high safety levels.

In this project Jackson Electrical supplied the programmable logic controls (PLC's) that control all the new electronic features. Jackson's also custom moulded and produced the Moulding for wheel chair access, the signage outside and the plastic toilets seats all through their Jackson 3D department.
